Microfibre Cloths

Microfibre cloths: massive cleaning power for a fantastic priceMedium-weight microfibre cloths really are a fantastic choice for all your cleaning needs. With a huge range of potential uses they are a 'silver bullet' that can be deployed in a variety of situations, producing maximum cleaning potential at an economical price.

They can be used with all chemical cleaners to achieve professional results, and in many cases they can also be used without chemicals as they attract dust so well. How to clean a washroom sink

Wash your sink with the help of our great tipsGetting on top of the house work can get a little too much, and you can find yourself in a muddle over what agents and products to use for what job. The sink seems to be the last thing that people think to clean, but it is quite simple to do and quick. It is amazing how much bad bacteria can accumulate in your bathroom sink, just think how often you use it and for so many different reasons. So cleaning it on a regular basis is vital when wanting to protect yourself and your family from those harmful microorganisms.

There are easy steps to clean your bathroom sink effectively:

  • Fill the basin with water and rinse it down with a sponge, making a clean surface so you can tackle all the stubborn grime underneath.
  • Pay special attention to the taps, making sure the mould and grime around the metal fixtures is combated. A great agent to use is glass cleaner for tackling unwanted matter.
  • Spray the rest of the basin and scrub down until satisfied, concentrate on the metal ring at the bottom of the basin, making it squeaky clean and gleaming.
  • Spray the basin again and then let the water carry it down the drain.

After following these quick and easy steps you will be the proud owner of a clean and shiny bathroom basin, but if you think that the drain also needs some attention use drain agents, but make sure to follow the instructions.

Clean your house. Why? You could be sitting on a fortune!

Is there a small fortune hidden in your loft?Right about now you might be thinking about spring cleaning, and getting your house ready for the warmer weather. If you are, we have a great range of cleaning guides including how to spring clean a living room that'll help you achieve professional results every time.

There are a number of benefits to cleaning, such as improved family health and a happier home environment. And - according to a recent story - the possibility of finding a small fortune in your attic or garage.

After all, when was the last time you really cleared out your loft? And since many of our homes have had several previous owners you just can't be sure what the previous generation has put in storage and then quickly forgotten about.

And let's face it -- old stuff can be VERY valuable! Just recently an original Batman comic sold for over a $1m dollars, and who can forget the famous Only Fools and Horses episode where Del and Rodney found the multi-million dollar pocket watch in their garage? (it does happen!)

So make sure you spring clean your house this year - you never know what could be lurking in the shadows ready to earn you a fortune.

Start by spring cleaning your bedroom and then move on to other rooms. It helps to have extra hands so get your partner and children to chip in.

Tech in the dustbin - don't throw away, reuse and recycle!

The CD may be on its last legs as people purge their media and go digitalA recent survey of 2000 homeowners revealed that Brits who purge possessions while spring cleaning a living room put technology at the top of the list of items to get rid of! CDs and DVDs are likely to get the chop, as are hi-fis and other physical media as people make the brave step towards digital downloads.

Changing Rooms' Anna Ryder Richardson says the cold weather and the need to stay indoors has made homeowners think more about the environment in which they live.

Here at Click Cleaning we're all for making the most of your home, and obviously because we love cleaning we can understand your dust and dirt going for a burton, but your technology?

There are loads and loads of ways you can re-use old technology, so before you replace your 12" black and white portable with a 80" nuclear powered plasma, read on:

  • Put it in another room - after all, wouldn't it be nice to watch Eastenders whilst you're making an omelette?
  • Turn it into something else - CDs can be coasters, or an improvised digital scarecrow.
  • Donate it to charity - clean and update your home AND get a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
  • Give to friends and family - they're probably dying for a Betamax player! Or at least a decent television.
  • Talk to local schools - classrooms inevitably need televisions and educational DVDs. Let them know if you have anything you think may help.

On a serious note, please do recycle your old electronics if you do happen to get rid of them - they contain a number of harmful chemicals and substances and take up significant amounts of space in landfill sites.

Graffiti used to advertise petrochemicals? Come to Wales..

Graffiti used for advertising? Yes, it's a realityWe've talked in the past about how to remove graffiti, but we never thought to mention the innovative method that Texaco has used near Cardiff Central train station in Wales. To advertise the launch of its new Techron product, the petrochemical giant sought permission from Cardiff Council to create the largest piece of reverse-graffiti in the UK.

The 50ft long section of wall had previously been painted with street graffiti and needed painting. Texaco came along and spent 2 days scrubbing the graffiti to remove it, and then painted the wall black.

Next - and this is really brilliant - they produced bespoke stencils and placed them over the wall, and used high pressure washers to clean the paint between the stencils away, leaving amazing designs on the wall for commuters to see on the way to work.

The designs include Cardiff Castle, a Welsh dragon and the Severn Crossing.

'Reverse graffiti' has been growing in prominence in recent years as companies try to develop innovative ways to promote their products. Microsoft and Smirnoff have produced reverse graffiti campaigns in recent years and Cardiff has featured eco-friendly pavement murals since 2008.

Graffiti itself has even been used for advertising - Sony hired artists to spray paint large buildings with images of kids playing their Playstation Portables in an effort to drive sales! And in 2001 IBM had people spray paint a heart, a penguin and a peace symbol on the pavements of Chicago and San Francisco (brownie points if you know why!).

The Texaco design will be on show for 5 weeks before being scrubbed away into oblivion, so get yourself to Wales as quickly as possible so you don't miss out!
